Marie-Noëlle Boutin was born in 1971, studied photography at St-Luc de Tournai in Belgium and the University of Paris VIII and filmology Lille III. In 2003, she participated in a first artist residency in Senegal. Then she continued her work in Benin, Palestine, Ireland and Israel. Following a journey of "100 French young artists in China," she leads a residence in 2007 at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing.
