Continuing his journey through images and language, Arnaud Claass delves into the uniqueness of photography, the fullness of which lies in its elusive nature. Scenes from everyday life, memories or dreams, images of war, reference works or emerging ones (not only photographic but also pictorial, sculptural, cinematic, literary…) reveal how we are deeply affected, day by day, by visual experiences. In his more theoretical moments, the author also reiterates his distrust of any systematic thinking. La plénitude photographique is thus a deep exploration of the nature and impact of photography, an attempt to demonstrate how it captures and conveys the complexity of our human experience. It’s a call for artistic freedom and open-mindedness, for the capacity for wonder, and the continual emergence of new forms of expression.
