Le grand séparateur

The book is designed as a survey or rather an elusive quest priori. By immersing themselves in this dark and serious, the first impression is a spontaneous loss of bearings. It is this component empty scenery and timeless as the author plunges the viewer into a “Faraway” unknown. Progress is slow and uncertain, but the empty lot is transformed slowly into a track record of benchmarks codified by Jean-Michel Fauquet place with precision and meticulousness. Arranged in the shadows, objects made of undetermined material openly artificial, seem to exist in an area inaccessible and exhale the perfume of oblivion; From fantasy characters roam these pages.
Some anonymous people, or rather “figures” appear in the image. The shadow of Freud, Kafka, or Tarkovsky also stand in the shadows come and add elements of understanding, pieces of the puzzle that we reconstruct as and when such exploration.

Work more like oil paintings than photographs. His way of seeing the light and shapes is very personal. Its printing processes as well as the use of paper or special media also make an alchemist.
