During a visit to the castle Cadillac, near Bordeaux, Joerg Huber was struck by the traces that bear witness to the presence in the history of the building of a women’s prison. The theme of confinement, both physical and mental, has greatly stimulated his imagination and he designed a work in which all sorts of women are involved: artists, writers, or of contemporary history, but mostly anonymous faces. In the form of diptychs: messages autographs of different nature, the literary fragment simply call for help or cry of love, respond to portraits. This book developed with the collaboration of Gabriel Bauret and contains many contributions on the theme of confinement (Anne Bony, Jean-Pierre Cetona, Joseph Hanimann, Ruth Henry, Catherine Sauvat).
Gabriel Bauret collaborateur et rédacteur en chef de plusieurs magazines photographiques, est aujourd’hui commissaire d’exposition et auteur d’ouvrages .
